QA Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conduct manual testing for web and mobile applications to verify functionality, usability, and reliability.

• Create, develop, and implement test cases, scenarios, and plans based on both business and technical specifications.

• Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Identify, document, monitor, and retest defects utilizing Jira.

• Conduct basic API testing with Postman to ensure endpoint validation, response accuracy, and data integrity.

• Work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to comprehend requirements and clarify expected application behavior.

• Engage in requirement reviews, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives within an Agile/Scrum framework.

• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, execution reports, defect logs, and quality metrics.

• Validate bug fixes, troubleshoot recurring issues, and perform regression testing prior to releases.

• Contribute to enhancing testing processes, increasing test coverage, and improving overall product quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of stable, high-quality software.

• Utilize knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages to assist in test automation initiatives as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years in manual software testing or quality assurance.

• Solid experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.

• Proficient in functional testing and regression testing.

• Good grasp of integration, end-to-end, smoke, and sanity testing concepts.

• Experience in creating test cases, executing tests, reporting defects, and maintaining test documentation.

• Familiarity with Jira for defect tracking and test management purposes.

• Basic understanding of API testing using Postman.

• Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

• Advantageous to have exposure to Selenium WebDriver and WebdriverIO.

• Familiarity with TypeScript and JavaScript is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of Node.js and automation testing frameworks is beneficial.

• Experience in contributing to test automation or managing automated test scripts is advantageous.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the capacity to identify edge cases and potential defects.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to independently manage testing activities while working synergistically with cross-functional teams.
