Quality Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee technical support and services related to the installation and testing of software, patches, and upgrades for system products.

• Address intricate issues and failures in designated products and technical facilities.

• Manage, communicate, and document activities pertaining to technical support.

• Create, implement, and sustain processes for daily backups, recovery, data security, and disaster recovery operations.

• Design and maintain automation scripts utilizing Java or C#, as well as Selenium for web UI testing and Appium for native mobile testing on both iOS and Android platforms.

• Formulate and execute BDD-style test scenarios using Cucumber.

• Construct and uphold API test automation with Rest Assured, ensuring validation of RESTful web services with dynamic payloads, headers, and assertions.

• Develop and maintain database validations to guarantee data integrity across backend systems and testing environments.

• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab and Jenkins.

• Evaluate test results, identify root causes of failures, and assist in defect resolution efforts.

• Collaborate across functions to establish testing strategies, deliverables for test artifacts, automation acceptance, and quality checkpoints.

• Advocate for quality engineering principles, encompassing shift-left testing, test data management, and early adoption of automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience as a Systems Engineer and Systems Programmer, or a High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience.

• Profound understanding of programming concepts, particularly OOP principles.

• 7 years of experience in testing mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.

• Practical experience with Selenium WebDriver.

• Strong experience in client-server, web, and mobile quality assurance.

• Relevant background in testing native mobile applications.

• Preferred experience in Mobile Automation using Appium.

• Familiarity with defect tracking and management tools, especially JIRA.

• Experience with automation testing tools for functional regression and system testing.

• Proficient in root cause analysis and defect diagnosis techniques.

• Capability to document software defects and communicate them to developers and project managers.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and iterative software development life cycle practices.

• Experience in enhancing testing efficiency through automation and establishing goals to minimize time and resources.

• In-depth knowledge of Global Digital Banking applications.

• Additional skills include: Java, Python, Automation Testing, Database Validation, Integration Testing, Selenium, JIRA, Git, APIs, BDD/Gherkins.
