Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate software releases, ensuring readiness checks, approvals, and maintaining release records.

• Develop and sustain technical documentation, encompassing software requirements, verification and validation records, traceability matrices, and risk files.

• Assist in software lifecycle processes adhering to IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 standards.

• Evaluate change requests, bug reports, and deviations, while assessing their quality and regulatory implications.

• Participate in risk management initiatives in accordance with ISO 14971.

• Aid in internal and external audits, corrective actions, and process enhancements.

• Advocate for quality best practices within development teams.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and regulatory teams to integrate quality and compliance into daily operations.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality, QA, or a regulated setting.

• Practical experience in release management and technical documentation.

• Familiarity with quality management systems and software subject to regulation.

• Comprehension of the software development lifecycle and CI/CD concepts.

• Exceptional attention to detail and proficient written communication skills.

• Capability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams.

• Proven proficiency in AI, at least at the Explorer (Level 1) level, utilizing AI daily to enhance personal productivity.
