This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement the comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) and Test Automation Strategy for HUD ADPS applications and services.
• Create enterprise testing standards, quality metrics, governance processes, and best practices that align with Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Oversee the design, development, implementation, and upkeep of automated testing frameworks for web applications, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, cloud-native applications, and enterprise platforms.
• Incorporate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous integration, continuous testing, and continuous delivery goals.
• Formulate detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices that correspond with business and technical requirements.
• Conduct and supervise functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance, performance, load, stress, accessibility, and security testing activities.
• Assess data quality, data reconciliation, and reporting accuracy across enterprise data environments and analytics platforms.
• Coordinate testing efforts among various Agile teams, releases, and application portfolios.
• Assist in release management processes, including release readiness reviews, deployment validation, rollback testing, and production verification.
• Oversee defect identification, prioritization, root-cause analysis, remediation tracking, and reporting.
• Create dashboards and executive reports to convey quality trends, testing coverage, release readiness, defect metrics, and operational risks.
• Support Authority to Operate (ATO), FISMA, NIST, and cybersecurity compliance activities by validating security controls and participating in assessment activities.
• Assess and deploy AI-assisted testing solutions to enhance test coverage, defect detection, and quality engineering efficiency.
• Offer mentorship, technical leadership, and training to QA engineers and project teams on quality engineering best practices.
• Identify areas for process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement throughout software delivery and operational support processes.
• Over 10 years of overall IT experience, including more than 7 years in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with test automation, including the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks for enterprise applications, particularly in DevSecOps initiatives.
• Proven experience in leading QA automation strategy, test planning, test execution, defect management, and release validation within Agile software delivery teams.
• Proficient in at least one automation programming language, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#.
• Familiarity with web UI automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar technologies.
• Experience in API testing, service validation, and integration testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Karate, SoapUI, ReadyAPI, or similar.
• Experience incorporating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
• Capability to create test plans, test cases, test scripts, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices, and test summary reports.
• Experience executing functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, performance, accessibility, and security-related testing.
• Strong SQL skills for database validation, data reconciliation, and accuracy testing in reporting.
• Knowledgeable in defect tracking, root cause analysis, risk reporting, and quality metrics using tools like Jira, Azure Boards, ServiceNow, or similar.
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure SDLC practices.
• Ability to lead testing activities across multiple applications, releases, or Agile teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical findings, risks, and release readiness to leadership.
• Must be able to pass required Federal background screening and obtain and maintain both government clearance and customer approval.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
