QA & Release Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Ensure that the platform's capabilities are prepared for release from the perspectives of Product, business, and operations.

• Lead functional validation and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Oversee release readiness and assist in establishing quality standards for a dependable and scalable platform.

• Validate the functionality delivered against business requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Evaluate customer journeys, operational workflows, and business processes.

• Identify potential risks early and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to address them.

• Create and sustain functional and regression test scenarios.

• Oversee defect reporting, retesting, and validation processes.

• Coordinate activities for Product readiness, including release checklists, documentation, and business approvals.

• Prepare release notes and user guidance materials.

• Provide support for production releases and conduct post-release validations.

• Review production issues and enhance regression test coverage.

• Improve documentation for testing, templates, and quality standards.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to integrate Product Quality into the delivery lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Software/Product QA, Release Management, or a comparable role.

• Strong background in functional and regression testing.

• Experience in coordinating User Acceptance Testing.

• Familiarity with supporting software releases in Agile environments.

• Excellent analytical and investigative skills.

• Strong organizational abilities and stakeholder management skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Proficiency in German is advantageous.

• Experience in Product-led organizations is preferred.

• Desirable background in platform or SaaS environments.

• Experience in the Social Casino, Gaming, or regulated industries is a plus.

• Knowledge of SQL is favorable.

• Experience in implementing QA frameworks or governance models is advantageous.

• Familiarity with test automation principles and tools is desirable.
