This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Take ownership of the overall quality of the program by setting quality standards and providing oversight to Agile teams.
• Lead and mentor QA data and automation engineers while actively participating in testing, automation, and data validation.
• Provide daily oversight for QA engineers in Cormac and partner organizations.
• Develop and execute test strategies and plans that align with Program Increment goals.
• Propel AI-assisted quality engineering, intelligent test automation, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Assess AI-enabled testing solutions for test coverage, regression testing, root cause analysis, and predictive quality insights.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of program architecture, business processes, and system interdependencies to evaluate downstream impacts.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Release Train Engineers to ensure compliance with quality standards and Definition of Done.
• Supervise both automated and manual testing, covering functional, regression, performance, load, security, integration, API, and UAT testing.
• Manage the defect lifecycle, perform root cause analysis, and facilitate defect triage meetings.
• Monitor, measure, and report on quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, pass/fail rates, and escaped defects.
• Create and sustain reusable automation scripts and enhance frameworks such as Page Object Model and BDD/Cucumber.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct independent quality reviews of contractual deliverables, test artifacts, Section 508 accessibility assessments, and traceability matrices.
• Uphold CMMI Maturity Level 3 quality standards and Standard Operating Procedures across various program task areas.
• Identify and escalate quality risks while proposing effective mitigation strategies.
• Over 5 years of comprehensive software quality engineering experience.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role driving functional, API, regression, performance, load, and security testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Practical experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium Grid, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS services, including Amazon CloudWatch.
• Capability to independently design and create complex SQL queries for data validation, mappings, business rules, ETL processes, and reports.
• Experience in leading quality engineering efforts across multiple Agile sprint teams and conducting UI, ETL/data pipeline, reporting, dashboard, API, accessibility, security, performance/load, and integration testing.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Java, Python, Selenium, Cucumber, Selenium Grid, Postman, DBeaver, Databricks, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, AWS CloudWatch, IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Excel, Beyond Compare, XML, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in enforcing QA processes within an organization appraised at CMMI Level 3 or higher.
• Knowledge of Section 508 compliance testing.
• Strong background in reproducing and documenting defects, tracking quality metrics, and conducting root cause analyses.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently reside within the United States.
• Desired certifications include CSQA, ISTQB Advanced Test Manager/Test Automation Engineer, or CISA.
• Desired certifications include SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner, or Certified ScrumMaster.
• Ideal candidate should have 8+ years of software testing experience, including over 3 years within CMS federal healthcare contracts.
