QA Engineer – Wearables, Mobile, Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct testing throughout the complete journey involving wearable firmware, Bluetooth pairing and synchronization, iOS and Android SDKs, cloud processing, APIs, and the application.

• Replicate complex failures, uncover root causes in device and server logs, and provide solutions or facilitate clear engineering handoffs.

• Integrate automated SDK, API, and application tests into continuous integration (CI).

• Oversee bug triage and release processes across hardware, mobile, and backend teams.

• Focus on customer impact across various product areas.

• Evaluate overnight wear, workouts, low battery scenarios, weak signal conditions, offline usage, and operating system updates.

• Contribute to enhancing the reliability of every release.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive QA or test-engineering experience, typically spanning over 5 years.

• A minimum of two years managing quality at a startup that delivers hardware and software.

• Practical experience with Bluetooth/BLE and mobile-device testing.

• Demonstrable examples of releases managed and improvements in reliability achieved.

• Proficiency in coding with Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Capability to read and modify Swift, Kotlin, or Go code.

• Experience in creating automated test suites.

• Familiarity with native mobile and cloud systems.

• Practical application of AI coding or testing tools, along with a clear methodology for evaluating their results.

• Consistent, transparent work history showcasing personal accountability for delivered projects.

• Relevant experience in wearables, biometrics, health technology, IoT, firmware testing, or data-pipeline work is highly valued.
