QA Engineer – Manual-Automation, Mid Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop both manual and automated tests, encompassing intricate functional and integration tests to validate acceptance criteria.

• Conduct functional testing across web and desktop applications as well as back-end systems.

• Assist in the maintenance, enhancement, and support of testing documentation.

• Identify software defects and work collaboratively with development teams to address them.

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA team members to uphold product quality.

• Implement Agile methodologies in daily operations.

• Champion product quality within a multi-disciplinary development team.

• Engage in the formulation of feature testing strategies and contribute to QA Guild discussions.

• Aid in refining the release process while ensuring high standards of quality.

• Disseminate knowledge and promote best practices in testing.

• Introduce ideas and initiatives that foster creativity and innovation.

• Verify that the product adheres to quality benchmarks for deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, with a stronger emphasis on backend and API testing.

• Expertise in using API testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or comparable options.

• Background in testing APIs, with a preference for GraphQL.

• Significant experience in designing test cases, creating feature test plans, and managing test execution.

• Familiarity with regression, functional, smoke, and ad-hoc testing methodologies.

• Experience in test automation.

• Knowledge of management tools such as Jira and Confluence.

• Capacity to quickly grasp complex technical systems and architectures.

• Experience in Agile/Kanban or similar methodologies while working within development teams.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript using Playwright is advantageous.

• Backend/API automation experience with NodeJS, Jest, Axios, or Supertest is a plus.

• Experience in contributing to or managing test automation frameworks is preferred.

• Familiarity with virtualization and GitLab CI/CD tools is an added advantage.

• Exposure to Docker and containerized environments is beneficial.
