This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +10 more states.
• Develop and enhance agents that create test coverage, identify failures, and oversee system monitoring.
• Take full ownership of quality from start to finish, encompassing test strategy, automated coverage, exploratory testing, live system monitoring, and making decisions regarding release readiness.
• Create test plans for features prior to their implementation.
• Evaluate test suites generated by agents and confirm that assertions validate the expected behavior.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover unspecified edge cases.
• Enhance agent harnesses to minimize flaky waits.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, including those specific to staging.
• Document the causes of failures, test plans, failures, and sign-offs.
• Investigate root causes and rectify broken QA processes.
• Work autonomously from project initiation to completion and escalate issues promptly.
• Communicate proactively and assist junior QA engineers with testing platforms and procedures.
• Over 4 years of experience in QA or test automation within an Agile environment.
• Practical experience in constructing test automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in API testing using Python with pytest, unittest, or similar frameworks.
• Experience in UI testing utilizing Cypress and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with stable selectors and dependable page objects.
• Proven use of AI development tools and coding assistants for creating, reviewing, or maintaining tests.
• Ability to critically assess AI-generated output.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions.
• Skills in exploratory testing.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Proficient in Git and contemporary version control workflows.
• Familiarity with API tools such as Postman or curl.
• Practical experience with AWS services in testing or deployment contexts.
• Knowledge of requirement traceability, boundary value analysis, application stability, and usability testing.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Capability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Willingness to mentor junior QA engineers.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with agent building, evaluating LLM output, AI-assisted codebase testing, observability, Kubernetes, performance/load/security testing, remote-first asynchronous culture, email or marketing SaaS, web platforms, backend services at scale, and familiarity with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
