QA Engineer – Automation, Functional

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain automated end-to-end and regression tests utilizing Playwright, ensuring they operate consistently within CI/CD.

• Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing for both web and mobile applications.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to create test strategies for new functionalities.

• Assist in establishing acceptance criteria prior to implementation.

• Define criteria for release readiness and quality benchmarks.

• Diagnose, replicate, and meticulously document defects.

• Monitor quality metrics, including escaped defects, coverage, and flake rates.

• Communicate quality metrics to the team.

• Enhance testing tools and processes as the organization grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software QA with practical automation expertise using Playwright or a similar tool.

• Proficient in crafting test plans based on product requirements and managing them through to release.

• Experience in integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

• Self-motivated and pragmatic in a fast-paced startup setting.

• US-based with substantial overlap with West Coast (PT) hours for daily collaboration with product and engineering teams.

• Excellent written communication skills for producing clear and reproducible bug reports and test documentation.

• Preferred experience in testing HIPAA-compliant systems or familiarity with PHI data handling requirements.

• Familiarity with API testing or EHR integrations (HL7/FHIR) is a plus.

• A background in healthcare SaaS, RPM, or clinical data platforms is preferred.
