QA Engineer, Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Assess and verify manual test cases to determine automation requirements.

• Develop automation tests by utilizing AI to assist with repetitive coding tasks.

• Refine code with AI to enhance performance and modernize outdated testing patterns.

• Examine bug reports and create execution summaries using AI.

• Ensure automation documentation and READMEs are of high quality and synchronized with the codebase.

• Adhere to project-specific AI guidelines to standardize technical solutions.

• Plan, estimate, and fulfill commitments within specified timelines.

• Engage in code reviews following AI-supported checks for syntax issues, edge cases, and security vulnerabilities.

• Utilize AI for semantic code restructuring and employ IDE tools for safe renaming and signature alterations.

• Set up and enhance CI/CD pipelines with the assistance of AI.

• Design and automate backend test cases, encompassing edge cases, boundary conditions, and complex multi-currency or state-transition scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of full-time experience in Java Automation.

• Proficient in Java Core (Java 8 or higher).

• Familiarity with Playwright.

• Experience with RestAssured or Retrofit.

• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with OpenAPI and JSON schema validation.

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and DOM.

• Familiarity with XPath and CSS selectors.

• Proficient in inline autocomplete and chat-based AI generation.

• Active engagement with agentic coding modes, such as Cursor Composer.

• Capability to identify and manually rectify AI-generated code hallucinations.

• Ability to utilize AI for bug investigation while manually validating hypotheses.

• Expert-level use of browser developer tools.

• In-depth understanding of client-server architecture.

• Strong grasp of software testing theory, test strategies, and industry standards.

• Proficient in organizing, prioritizing, and estimating tasks.

• Ability to work independently with alignment to the lead and team directions.

• Skill in creating and maintaining test documentation and reports.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Excellent critical thinking abilities.

• Experience with Selenium-based frameworks, Kafka, ElasticSearch, and performance automation using Locust is a plus.
