QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough manual and exploratory testing for newly developed features.

• Design and sustain automated UI and API testing scripts within the current automation framework.

• Formulate and implement test cases, planning test executions that integrate manual scenarios with automated evaluations.

• Work closely with developers to pinpoint testing needs early on, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality product.

• Oversee and assess automated test results within CI/CD pipelines.

• Troubleshoot test failures and document defects accordingly.

• Enhance QA documentation, including test cases, bug reports, and internal testing guidelines.

• Engage in PBRs, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Offer testing insights and estimates while promoting quality best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in manual testing methodologies, encompassing test design, requirement analysis, and exploratory testing techniques.

• Expertise in API testing utilizing both automated tools and manual clients.

• Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to identify edge cases and produce clear, reproducible bug reports.

• Familiarity with SQL and foundational database knowledge for verifying data integrity and conducting backend testing.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Sentry, Grafana, and Loki.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to collaboration with developers and stakeholders.

• Practical programming capabilities in TypeScript; JavaScript experience is an advantage.

• Direct experience with contemporary automation frameworks; familiarity with Playwright is a plus.

• Capability to write and modify existing automated tests.

• Proficient in using Git for version control.

• Basic knowledge of Docker for executing tests within containers.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines like BitBucket and CircleCI, including executing tests and troubleshooting pipeline failures.

• Nice to have: experience in performance, security, or reliability testing.

• Nice to have: familiarity with cloud-native architectures and testing strategies; AWS knowledge is a plus.

• Nice to have: some experience with mobile testing and responsive web testing across various devices.
