QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and implement test plans, test cases, and testing strategies that align with business and technical specifications.

• Conduct both manual and automated testing procedures.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance frameworks and scripts for test automation.

• Perform API testing utilizing suitable tools and methodologies.

• Utilize test design techniques to ensure comprehensive coverage.

• Implement test plans within Agile/AI-DLC environments and contribute to readiness for release.

• Partner with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Investigate defects, replicate issues, and assist in resolution efforts.

• Leverage AI-driven IDEs and tools such as Claude, Codex, Kiro, and Antigravity to enhance development and testing efficiency.

• Work in collaboration with DevOps to ensure testing is executed within build and deployment pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance.

• Extensive experience in API testing.

• Strong background in test automation.

• Thorough understanding of test design principles and Quality Assurance methodologies.

• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and conducting data validation.

• Experience with testing across multiple browsers and devices.

• Knowledge of performance, stress, and load testing techniques.

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and pipelines.

• Understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and testing applications in cloud environments.

• Capability to manage several projects, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong attention to detail combined with exceptional organizational skills.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Proactive approach focused on continuous improvement and innovation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (preferred).

• ISTQB certification (preferred).

• Cloud certification such as AWS or Azure (preferred).
