QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create and implement software testing plans while documenting the outcomes.

• Conduct functional, system, regression, and release testing.

• Perform API/interface and EDI testing.

• Design, implement, and uphold test cases.

• Validate data through SQL queries and investigate any data inconsistencies.

• Identify, document, track, and manage software defects.

• Work collaboratively with functional and technical teams to resolve issues.

• Support the development and upkeep of user documentation.

• Partner with engineers and other team members to ensure product quality and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Quality Assurance Analyst in the healthcare, Medicare, or health insurance/payer sectors.

• Practical experience in functional and regression testing.

• Familiarity with system testing and release testing methodologies.

• Experience with API/interface testing and EDI testing.

• Proven ability to design and execute test cases and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.

• Knowledge of relational databases and experience writing SQL queries for data validation.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication skills with developers, technical teams, and clients.

• Conversational proficiency in both English and Spanish.

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with healthcare payer processes, especially claims, enrollment, provider management, authorizations, or encounters is advantageous.

• Knowledge of UNIX is a plus.

• Understanding of programming languages and technical concepts is a plus.

• Additional experience with healthcare data exchange standards and EDI integrations is a plus.
