Mid-Level QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure the quality, reliability, and integrity of software applications through both manual and automated testing.

• Create, document, manage, and track bugs and defects throughout their lifecycle.

• Define, design, and validate test scenarios for web, mobile, and desktop applications.

• Work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and designers to identify, evaluate, and mitigate quality risks.

• Execute manual and automated test cases to guarantee comprehensive test coverage and application reliability.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA processes, testing strategies, and best practices in quality assurance.

• Participate in sprint ceremonies, offering a QA perspective on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Investigate issues, analyze test outcomes, and ensure that defects are effectively resolved.

• Support the integration of testing activities into CI/CD pipelines for the continuous delivery of dependable software.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with test automation tools, especially Cypress, along with a solid understanding of automated testing principles.

• Experience in testing APIs using tools like Postman, including validation of responses, status codes, and expected behaviors.

• Proficient in testing web, mobile, and desktop applications.

• Experience utilizing browser DevTools, Network, and Console tools.

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, LambdaTest, New Relic, and CI/CD practices.

• Proficiency in Zephyr or other similar test management tools.

• Basic understanding of application monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic.

• Understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies, test design techniques, regression testing, and risk-based testing.

• Ability to document, prioritize, track, and communicate defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
