QA Automation Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Establish, manage, and continuously refine the QA and test automation strategy across our product offerings.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA engineers by providing technical guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback.

• Design and uphold scalable automation frameworks for both web (ReactJS) and mobile (React Native) applications.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to integrate quality practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Oversee the comprehensive test strategy, encompassing functional, API, regression, performance, and data testing.

• Define and monitor quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), reporting product quality to leadership.

• Facilitate root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at minimizing defects and enhancing release confidence.

• Assess and advocate for new tools, frameworks, and best practices to boost testing efficiency and coverage.

• Lead risk assessment and mitigation planning for releases, ensuring a balance between speed and quality.

• Align the QA roadmap and priorities with overarching business objectives and release schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with significant hands-on experience in test automation for web and mobile applications.

• Proven experience in leading, mentoring, or managing QA engineers or a QA team, demonstrating strong people and coaching abilities.

• Extensive expertise with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Appium, implemented at scale.

• Strong programming skills in Python (or a similar language) for the design and maintenance of test frameworks.

• In-depth experience in testing web applications (ReactJS) and mobile applications (React Native).

• Comprehensive experience in testing and validating API endpoints (REST/GraphQL).

• Advanced knowledge of SQL coupled with hands-on experience in end-to-end data testing and data validation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven history of root cause analysis, debugging, and log examination.

• Experience in designing and executing performance and load testing strategies.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable in presenting quality status to senior leadership.

• A track record of developing or enhancing QA processes, standards, and best practices within an organization.
