QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and uphold extensive automated test suites.

• Create and implement test cases for new development stories and application enhancements.

• Validate solutions for both production and internally identified defects.

• Test applications transitioning from legacy technologies to modern platforms.

• Support quality assurance efforts related to infrastructure upgrades and Azure Cloud migration projects.

• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

• Participate in story grooming sessions and assist in defining acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

• Document and manage defects until resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and maintaining automated testing frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.

• Familiarity with testing Java/J2EE web and enterprise applications.

• Experience in functional, integration, regression, and API testing.

• Understanding of Oracle and MySQL databases.

• Experience in Linux environments.

• Knowledge of Maven and GitLab.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Preferred: Experience with testing applications on IBM WebSphere.

• Preferred: Familiarity with XML, XSLT, and enterprise integration technologies.

• Preferred: Exposure to Azure Cloud migration or cloud testing initiatives.

• Preferred: Experience with Spring Boot and Angular applications.

• Preferred: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.

• Preferred: Experience with NoSQL databases.
