This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +10 more states.
• Design, create, and uphold automated test suites for web applications utilizing tools such as Playwright.
• Develop and execute automated smoke, regression, and end-to-end tests to verify new features and releases.
• Assess and implement emerging AI-driven testing tools to enhance and expedite QA operations.
• Formulate, execute, and sustain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Identify, document, and monitor defects until resolution, confirming the fixes.
• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and oversee results.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to grasp requirements and establish acceptance criteria.
• Engage in code and test reviews to maintain quality standards.
• Keep clear documentation for test coverage, processes, and outcomes.
• Participate in agile ceremonies like sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Execute other responsibilities and tasks as assigned based on business needs.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or test automation.
• Practical experience in developing automated tests using modern frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language for test automation, such as JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Comfort with adopting new AI-based testing tools to enhance and streamline testing operations.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries to validate data.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for adopting new tools, including emerging AI testing technologies.
• Analytical and methodical approach to isolating and reproducing defects.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills within a cross-functional team.
• Capability to use standard office equipment and peripheral devices.
• Preferred experience in testing APIs and services, such as Postman, REST, or GraphQL, and in building API test automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into build pipelines is preferred.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is preferred.
• Experience with performance, load, or security testing is preferred.
• ISTQB or similar QA certification is preferred.
