Python, Django Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance backend functionalities using Python and Django

• Contribute to the development of a new pricing strategy engine

• Apply business rules related to the activation of strategies, services, routes, and validity durations

• Implement automatic trip generation

• Model and refine entities, relationships, and rules utilizing Django ORM

• Construct and optimize QuerySets with features like select_related and prefetch_related

• Create and oversee Django migrations

• Develop and sustain APIs through Django REST Framework

• Work with ViewSets, nested serializers, custom actions, and permissions

• Create and uphold asynchronous tasks with Celery

• Develop idempotent, observable tasks featuring retry policies

• Create and maintain automated tests, contributing to the regression test suite

• Work with PostgreSQL, including data modeling and optimizing queries for high-volume tables

• Investigate issues in existing code, develop hypotheses, and implement safe solutions

• Engage in code reviews, pull requests, and technical discussions

• Participate in pairing sessions to collaboratively devise solutions

• Influence technical decisions and the evolution of backend architecture

• Collaborate with the team to comprehend business rules and convert them into technical solutions

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in Python and backend development

• Proficiency with Django and Django ORM

• Understanding of QuerySets, select_related, prefetch_related, and migrations

• Experience with Django REST Framework

• Familiarity with ViewSets, nested serializers, custom actions, and permissions

• Experience in Celery and the development of asynchronous tasks

• Knowledge of idempotency, observability, and retry policies for asynchronous tasks

• Experience in automated testing and regression discipline

• Proficiency with PostgreSQL

• Understanding of data modeling and query optimization

• Capability to manage high-volume data tables

• Ability to read, comprehend, and enhance existing code

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain reasoning while addressing problems

• Capacity to work collaboratively and in pairing sessions

• Willingness to receive and share technical guidance

• Experience with Redis and caching strategies (a plus)

• Experience with Docker (a plus)

• Production experience with Kubernetes (a plus)

• Experience with BigQuery and dbt (a plus)

• Experience consolidating or migrating between databases (a plus)

• Experience integrating with third-party APIs (a plus)

• Interest or experience in frontend development (a plus)
