Python Developer – SAP Integrations via RFC/MCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create the MCP Server utilizing Python with FastMCP.

• Establish a connection to SAP ECC through PyRFC and the SAP NetWeaver RFC SDK.

• Design functions that present SAP BAPIs as MCP tools (such as purchase order inquiries, price history, and stock movements).

• Implement robust error handling and structured formatting for return data.

• Set up connection security measures, including environment variables, HTTPS, and authentication.

• Conduct connection testing and validation using actual SAP environment data.

• Work alongside Friend's SAP functional specialist to determine the data to be exposed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Python (version 3.10 or higher).

• Proficiency in API development and system integrations.

• Understanding of communication protocols (REST, RPC) — experience with RFC is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) concept, or a strong willingness to learn quickly — reference materials will be provided.

• Excellent communication skills, as the project requires direct collaboration with Friend's leadership and validation with an SAP specialist.

• Previous experience with SAP systems, even at a basic level.

• Experience with FastMCP, PyRFC, or similar libraries.

• Involvement in applied AI projects, such as agents, LLMs, and automation.

• Availability for ongoing projects.
