Python Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Engage in well-defined software engineering projects that tackle real-world codebases and developmental obstacles.

• Diagnose and rectify issues within intricate, multi-file codebases.

• Develop new backend or full-stack features.

• Refactor and transition existing systems to new frameworks.

• Create and enhance unit and integration testing suites.

• Draft clear technical specifications and reference implementations.

• Evaluate code and technical submissions for accuracy and quality.

• Recognize edge cases, ambiguities, and possible failure points.

• Ensure alignment among requirements, code, tests, and anticipated outcomes.

• Produce production-quality code and technical solutions.

• Complete precise project deliverables.

• Provide thorough testing and validation.

• Generate clear technical documentation.

• Offer thoughtful and constructive feedback during code reviews.

• Consistently meet project requirements reliably.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–7 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong expertise in Python.

• Professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with at least one additional programming language, such as Java, C#, or Go.

• Experience in backend or full-stack roles with production systems.

• Proficiency with testing frameworks like pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.

• Ability to confidently navigate and troubleshoot extensive, multi-file codebases.

• Experience in code reviews, refactoring, and transitioning production systems.

• Advanced written proficiency in English.

• Strong attention to detail coupled with technical problem-solving abilities.
