Python Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Engage in well-defined software engineering projects that involve real-world codebases and development challenges for a prominent AI research facility.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within intricate, multi-file codebases.

• Implement new backend or full-stack capabilities.

• Refactor and transition existing systems.

• Create and enhance unit and integration test suites.

• Draft clear technical specifications and reference implementations.

• Evaluate code and technical submissions for accuracy and quality.

• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure scenarios.

• Ensure alignment between requirements, code, tests, and expected outcomes.

• Deliver high-quality production code and technical solutions.

• Provide comprehensive and precise project deliverables.

• Generate clear technical documentation and actionable feedback during code reviews.

• Consistently meet project requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–7 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong expertise in Python.

• Professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Working knowledge of at least one additional programming language, such as Java, C#, or Go.

• Backend or full-stack experience with production systems.

• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.

• Ability to confidently navigate and debug large, multi-file codebases.

• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations.

• Advanced proficiency in written English.

• Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills.

• Must reside in Peru.
