Python Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Engage in well-defined software engineering projects that involve real-world codebases and development challenges.

• Diagnose and resolve issues within intricate, multi-file codebases.

• Develop new backend or full-stack features.

• Refactor and transition existing systems.

• Create and enhance unit and integration test suites.

• Draft clear technical specifications and reference implementations.

• Evaluate code and technical submissions for accuracy and quality.

• Recognize edge cases, ambiguities, and possible failure scenarios.

• Ensure consistency among requirements, code, tests, and expected outcomes.

• Deliver high-quality production code, complete project deliverables, thorough testing and validation, clear technical documentation, and constructive code-review feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–7 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong expertise in Python.

• Professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with at least one additional programming language such as Java, C#, or Go.

• Backend or full-stack experience with production systems.

• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.

• Ability to navigate and troubleshoot large, multi-file codebases.

• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations.

• Advanced written proficiency in English.

• Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving abilities.
