Python Data Scientist – Mid/Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and execute Operations Research solutions emphasizing mathematical optimization, with a particular focus on Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP).

• Execute technical and economic feasibility assessments and model various operational scenarios.

• Conduct reaction stoichiometry evaluations and Net Present Value (NPV) calculations based on actual values.

• Develop, enhance, and integrate models in Python utilizing libraries such as Pyomo or OR-Tools.

• Guarantee the reliability, maintainability, and quality of the code through unit testing, extensive test coverage, and adherence to best practices in version control.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid foundation in Operations Research, encompassing mathematical modeling, process optimization, objective function formulation, constraint definition, and decision variable selection.

• Demonstrated experience with Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP).

• Background in conducting technical and economic feasibility studies and simulating/modeling scenarios.

• Advanced skills in Python programming.

• Familiarity with open-source optimization libraries such as Pyomo or OR-Tools.

• Experience in building REST APIs using FastAPI.

• Knowledge of relational databases, specifically SQL/PostgreSQL.

• Proficient in version control using Git and GitHub.

• Experience with unit testing, emphasizing test coverage and software quality.
