Python Backend Engineer, AI Agents, SaaS Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop Python backend applications that mirror the functionalities of established SaaS platforms.

• Create REST APIs, microservices, integrations, and comprehensive backend workflows.

• Construct new SaaS connectors from the ground up and modify existing integrations as needed.

• Execute thorough backend testing and integration validation processes.

• Ensure connectors accurately reflect the behavior of the systems they are designed to emulate.

• Evaluate software workflows and datasets to pinpoint realistic long-term AI tasks.

• Generate representative tasks based on genuine tools, processes, and user interactions.

• Perform structured QA to confirm task accuracy, realism, and completeness.

• Develop clear evaluation rubrics that cover correct, partially correct, and inadequate outcomes.

• Utilize Claude Code and other AI coding agents throughout the development, testing, and validation phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Extensive proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

• Demonstrated experience in building backend applications, REST APIs, or microservices.

• Practical experience with Docker, Git, and fundamental software delivery pipelines.

• Strong hands-on proficiency with Claude or Claude Code.

• Experience incorporating AI coding assistants into daily software development tasks.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.

• Solid understanding of software testing, version control, and code-quality standards.
