Python Backend Engineer – AI Agents, SaaS Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop **Python backend applications** that emulate the functionality of established SaaS platforms.

• Design and implement REST APIs, microservices, integrations, and comprehensive backend workflows.

• Create new SaaS connectors from the ground up and modify existing integrations as necessary.

• Conduct thorough **backend testing and integration validation**.

• Ensure that connectors accurately reflect the behavior of the systems they are designed to replicate.

• Examine software workflows and datasets to pinpoint realistic long-term AI tasks.

• Construct representative tasks based on actual tools, processes, and user interactions.

• Execute structured QA to confirm task accuracy, realism, and completeness.

• Draft clear evaluation rubrics that encompass correct, partially correct, and incorrect outcomes.

• Leverage **Claude Code and other AI coding agents** throughout the development, testing, and validation phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of **3 years of professional software engineering experience**.

• Strong expertise in **Python** and backend frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

• Demonstrated experience in developing backend applications, REST APIs, or microservices.

• Practical experience with **Docker, Git, and fundamental software delivery pipelines**.

• Proficient understanding of **Claude or Claude Code**.

• Experience utilizing AI coding assistants as part of everyday software development.

• Professional proficiency in written and spoken **English**.

• Comprehensive knowledge of software testing, version control, and code-quality practices.
