This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Collaborate with Pursuit Leaders and pursuit teams to develop and execute pursuit and capture planning strategies.
• Engage in client account planning and contribute to regional strategy initiatives.
• Oversee detailed capture plans, including action items and timelines.
• Execute action plans aimed at enhancing win probability prior to the RFP.
• Formulate and communicate win strategies while creating storyboards.
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis regarding opportunities, clients, projects, and competitors.
• Assist in positioning efforts and facilitate client meetings and events.
• Manage the prequalification process and monitor targeted procurement efforts.
• Act as the Lead Proposal Manager from project kickoff through proposal development and interview preparation.
• Ensure adherence to RFP requirements, address client needs, and convey key messages effectively.
• Produce new content, modify existing materials, interview technical experts, and incorporate information from capture plans while editing contributions from other writers.
• Provide support for interview preparation.
• Participate in client pre-proposal and debrief meetings, sharing lessons learned and best practices.
• Organize and track debrief feedback and competitor proposals.
• Aid in proactive CRM pipeline management.
• Oversee regional project descriptions and staff resume data.
• Support marketing initiatives and branding activities, including award submissions, client events, white papers, presentations, conferences, advertising, and public relations.
• At least 5 years of experience in the A/E/C industry as a marketing, pursuit, or proposal specialist.
• A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, professional/technical writing, political science, English, or a related field is required (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proven experience in developing and writing proposals.
• Comprehensive understanding of the RFP and proposal development processes.
• Preferred experience in capture planning/strategy development and implementation within the A/E/C industry.
• Competence in persuasive writing and articulating features, advantages, and benefits.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, is preferred.
• Familiarity with Office365 Applications, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams is preferred.
• CPSM or APMP Certification is desirable but not mandatory.
• Ability to lead, provide insights and direction, and engage with clients, internal stakeholders, pursuit teams, and partners.
• Exceptional planning, organization, communication, listening, analytical, strategic, and creative skills.
• Capability to coordinate multiple team members, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
