This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to provide purchasing support throughout the estimating, design, construction, and as-built phases of projects.
• Confirm purchase requisitions by comparing requested items with the provided Bill of Materials; clarify any ambiguous items; suggest alternatives based on cost or lead time considerations.
• Leverage available inventory or surplus materials by verifying stock levels with Logistics.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders.
• Develop and manage online databases for tracking materials ordered, received, and delivered.
• Obtain quotes and negotiate pricing with vendors to achieve margin objectives.
• Request and secure shipping estimates along with tracking information for material purchases.
• Prioritize order requests according to commitment schedules.
• Adjust priorities as necessary.
• Verify receipt of items against orders; resolve any shipping discrepancies or damages with suppliers.
• Manage Return Material Authorizations for repairs, replacements, or credits.
• Authorize payments for purchases by cross-referencing received items with ordered items.
• Maintain accessible information by organizing and filing documents on the company intranet.
• Provide insights for purchasing planning and control by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Monitor orders to ensure alignment with commitment dates.
• Ensure products are delivered to the designated parties as requested.
• Communicate professionally, persuasively, and amiably with vendors and clients through phone and email correspondence.
• Conduct product research as needed.
• Undertake other duties as requested or required.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing role.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related fields (preferred).
• Outstanding customer service skills and ability to perform well under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
• Must be a self-motivated individual who works effectively with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Superior organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple projects at once.
• Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
