This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Offers sales consultation, design, support, and management of client activities related to collaboration, enterprise networking, data solutions, and security products and services, with a primary emphasis on the designated region.
• Builds, maintains, and nurtures business relationships with clients and potential customers in the assigned sectors to maximize profitability and growth through effective sales and service strategies.
• Evaluates client and competitive landscapes, identifies business challenges and interests, and formulates strategies to achieve business goals.
• Ensures precise sales forecasting capabilities and adheres to an active reporting process in line with C1’s standards.
• Creates, implements, and executes a Business Plan that aligns with both short-term and long-term company objectives and assigned targets.
• Engages in high-level business discussions with C-level executives.
• Acquires and maintains technical knowledge of all products offered, including solutions from represented manufacturers and professional services provided by C1.
• Cultivates relationships with both existing and prospective clients to facilitate business growth and achieve set targets.
• Accelerates the resolution of client escalations and complaints.
• Remains well-informed about industry developments, actively participates in organizations relevant to C1’s core markets, and continuously enhances sales techniques and knowledge.
• Builds strong collaborative relationships with supporting teams such as sales support, marketing, services, and purchasing/inventory to meet assigned targets.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience in communications and data technology.
• Familiarity with public sector contract vehicles and a demonstrated history of successful sales to State and local Government, Colleges, and Schools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience.
• Capability to engage directly with C-level executives in mid to large enterprises to secure business opportunities.
• Strong presentation, verbal, and communication skills.
• Proven sales abilities and technical proficiency.
• Demonstrated success in territory development, including acquiring new business accounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and sales forecasting tools.
• Possesses existing contacts and client relationships to bring to C1.
• Experience in solution selling, particularly with a strong focus on Cloud solutions, associated MS and PS services, and other offerings from C1.
• Recognized by previous employers as a top performer (e.g., President’s Club, etc.).
