This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• The Public Safety Sales and Business Development Representative is mainly tasked with assisting public safety agencies in adopting crime scene documentation, crash scene documentation, and forensic mapping solutions.
• This position emphasizes marketing Trimble Forensics products while broadening our outreach through UAS (drone) technology and photogrammetry applications.
• The representative will act as a subject matter expert, guiding agencies in the use of these technologies for forensic reconstruction, tactical overwatch, and search and rescue (SAR) missions.
• In this role, you will foster strategic partnerships with agencies and provide technical advice to ensure effective implementation.
• This encompasses conducting expert demonstrations of cutting-edge forensic hardware/software and UAS technology.
• Furthermore, you will showcase the organization’s forensic and UAS capabilities at significant industry trade shows, conferences, and conventions.
• Evaluate agency-specific requirements and provide customized adoption plans for forensic mapping, photogrammetry, and UAS technology.
• Identify, reach out to, and manage the sales process for these agencies.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for agencies, offering hands-on demonstrations, field training, and ongoing specialized support.
• Collaborate with key agencies to address their unique needs and enhance regional partnerships.
• Assist in assessing vendor technologies, determining their role within our organization and how we can effectively market them.
• Utilize CRM software to document outreach efforts, monitor active sales opportunities, and evaluate the stage of each opportunity in the sales cycle.
• Travel is anticipated to be around 50% and will be purpose-driven, concentrating on agency demonstrations, supporting agencies, and attending public safety conferences.
• Technical proficiency with the latest forensic mapping, diagramming, and photogrammetry products.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow through on plans.
• Capacity to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships both internally and externally in line with the Duncan-Parnell Way.
• Must be adaptable, trustworthy, flexible, and a team player.
• Experience in law enforcement, collision investigation, and crime scene training (2 out of 3 areas).
• A minimum of 5 years in collision or crime scene reconstruction.
• Experience with 100+ crime scenes or collision reconstruction scenes.
• Possession of FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification (or the ability to obtain it).
• A college degree in Criminal Justice is an advantage.
• Certifications from IPTM, NUCPS, or IAI are a plus.
