Public Relations & Partnerships Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create targeted media lists through both manual efforts and tools like Cision/Muck Rack.

• Track media coverage and send alerts to relevant teams.

• Identify key opinion leaders, including influencers and celebrities, for product seeding initiatives.

• Demonstrate knowledge of a journalism masthead and pinpoint targets for media outreach.

• Understand the media relations process and support pitching activities to national, regional, and trade media.

• Keep an eye on industry trends.

• Learn how to report on PR campaigns and coverage to clients.

• Engage in training sessions aimed at teaching the fundamentals of PR.

• Contribute ideas during creative brainstorming sessions with the PR team.

• Assist in crafting engaging pitches and press releases.

• Enhance your project management skills through hands-on experience with our project management system, Asana.

• Collaborate with the entire Power Digital team to support cross-channel strategy sessions, lunch and learns, and a team project at the end of the semester.

• Generate ideas for potential brand and celebrity partnerships.

• Monitor social media and paparazzi sites for gifting initiatives.

• Compile brand and celebrity seeding lists and assist with outreach efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous internship and/or professional experience is highly encouraged (experience in PR and/or Influencer roles is a plus!).

• Understanding of media relations and the public relations industry.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong writing abilities.

• Naturally organized and capable of managing multiple projects seamlessly.

• Proactive and team-oriented approach.

• A positive, can-do mindset.

• A strong desire to learn and enhance overall communication skills.

• Familiarity with PR processes.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Good understanding of AP Style and GSP in writing.

• Awareness of trends in the beauty, celebrity, fashion, and food & beverage sectors.
