This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Take ownership of the commercial results of PR and Partnerships, focusing on branded search growth, awareness in new markets, and contributions to organic revenue.
• Lead a team of two professionals: a PR and Copy Specialist and a Content Specialist. Establish priorities, manage workflows, and elevate performance standards.
• Ensure foundational elements are in place: press releases, editorial guidance, brand storytelling, and content quality.
• Collaborate with merchandising on house-brand collections involving influencers, designers, and cultural figures, focusing on small, stylish, and trend-driven drops.
• Manage our Brand Ambassador program, emphasizing genuine ambassadors with substantial reach rather than superficial influencer gifts.
• Create a diverse earned media presence that generates branded demand in tier-1 publications, niche authoritative sites, and cultural platforms.
• Foster partnerships with sports RX, smart eyewear, community sports teams, NGOs, and cultural institutions.
• Ensure SmartBuyGlasses becomes a recognizable name beyond traditional advertising spaces.
• Amplify our presence across various mediums: podcasts, Reddit, LinkedIn, newspapers, TV, and editorial outlets—brand mention volume is vital for SEO and AI search visibility.
• Collaborate closely with our Social and Influencer lead to translate influencer reach into an increase in branded search.
• Set the editorial vision for brand content on our site, encompassing storytelling, product launches, collaborative narratives, and brand pages.
• Monitor AI search visibility (SGE, AI Overviews, LLMs) and tailor PR efforts and mentions to ensure our brand is highlighted in responses.
• Conduct disciplined experiments on formats, hooks, and distribution, quickly eliminating ineffective strategies.
• Convert results into actionable commercial insights—reporting should be clear and concise, free from unnecessary fluff.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in PR, Brand, or Partnerships within a consumer, fashion, lifestyle, or e-commerce brand, with direct responsibility for commercial outcomes.

• Possess a growth mindset; you proactively open doors, make calls, follow up, and deliver at 85%. You do not wait for permission or perfect briefs.
• A proven history of collaborations, brand partnerships, or licensing successes that you can specifically reference.
• Experience securing media coverage in fashion, lifestyle, or business publications.
• Comfortable collaborating with merchandising and product teams on brand collaborations and collections.
• Demonstrated strong commercial acumen; you focus on branded search lift, repeat rates, and revenue rather than mere impressions or EMV.
• Experience integrating PR efforts with influencer and social strategies to enhance brand visibility.
• Experience managing a small in-house team or a desire to step into such a role.
• Excellent command of written and verbal English communication.
• Naturally collaborate with SEO and performance teams, understanding the components that drive search and AI visibility, even without technical ownership.
• A self-starter with a proactive approach.
• A strategic thinker with a solid grasp of brand building, user behavior, and funnel metrics.
