This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take ownership of the commercial results from PR and Partnerships, focusing on branded search growth, awareness in new markets, and contributions to organic revenue.
• Lead a team consisting of a PR and Copy Specialist as well as a Content Specialist. Establish priorities, maintain workflow cadence, and elevate standards.
• Ensure the fundamentals are in place: press releases, editorial guidelines, brand storytelling, and content quality control.
• Collaborate with merchandising on house-brand collections featuring influencers, designers, and cultural icons, delivering small, trendy, fashion-forward releases.
• Manage our Brand Ambassador program, ensuring authentic ambassadors with substantial reach rather than just token influencer gifts.
• Develop a diverse earned media presence that stimulates branded demand through tier-1 publications, niche authority sites, and cultural platforms—these mentions will support LLMs and enhance authority.
• Drive partnerships with sports RX, smart eyewear, community sports teams, NGOs, and cultural institutions, ensuring that SmartBuyGlasses becomes a recognized name beyond traditional advertising.
• Ensure our brand is prominently mentioned across various platforms: podcasts, Reddit, LinkedIn, newspapers, TV, and editorials—volume of brand mentions is key for SEO and AI search visibility.
• Collaborate closely with our Social and Influencer lead to turn influencer reach into increased branded search.
• Establish editorial direction for brand content on our site, including storytelling, product launches, collaboration narratives, and brand pages, while coordinating priorities with our SEO lead.
• Oversee the editorial process weekly: manage the calendar, brief templates, review cycles, output quality, and publishing speed.
• Monitor AI search visibility (SGE, AI Overviews, LLMs) and tailor PR efforts to ensure our brand appears in relevant answers.
• Conduct structured experiments on content formats, hooks, and distribution methods, quickly discontinuing what is ineffective.
• Convert results into actionable commercial insights—providing clear reporting without unnecessary fluff.
• Over 5 years of direct experience in PR, Brand, or Partnerships within a consumer, fashion, lifestyle, or e-commerce brand, with accountability for commercial impacts.

• Proven track record of collaborations, brand partnerships, or licensing successes, with specific examples to share (the narrative matters more than the scale).
• Experience securing media coverage in fashion, lifestyle, or business publications.
• Comfortable collaborating with merchandising and product teams on branded collaborations and collections.
• Strong commercial insight—focusing on branded search lift, repeat rates, and revenue rather than just impressions or EMV.
• Experience integrating PR with influencer marketing and social media to enhance brand awareness.
• Experience managing a small in-house team or a desire to take on that responsibility.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Naturally work well with SEO and performance teams, understanding what drives search and AI visibility, even if you are not responsible for the technical aspects.
• Self-motivated with a preference for taking action.
• A strategic outlook with a strong grasp of brand development, user behavior, and funnel metrics.
• High attention to detail and a proactive, self-starting mindset.
• Capable of problem-solving and demonstrating creativity in a fast-paced environment.
