This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Interact with UK policymakers, regulators, and various stakeholders to promote policy frameworks that bolster the open web and advance Mozilla’s product initiatives. Concentrate on matters such as competition, privacy, AI, and consumer protection while ensuring alignment with EU regulatory developments and stakeholders.
• Develop public policy campaigns from inception and oversee their execution to enhance Mozilla’s visibility in the UK and influence ongoing policy discussions that affect our products and the open web. This includes planning, implementation, and assessment of comprehensive advocacy strategies.
• Act as Mozilla’s representative in external forums, industry associations, and other public settings regarding policy issues, ensuring our perspectives are clearly and effectively communicated through policy events, thought leadership, and coordinated advocacy with third-party organizations.
• Track, assess, and internally communicate emerging policy matters, regulatory changes, and global trends that impact Mozilla's products and services in both the UK and the EU.
• Simplify intricate technical concepts into clear, precise, and actionable policy insights and recommendations.
• Direct and oversee policy-related projects from start to finish, including the coordination of timelines, stakeholders, deliverables, and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience with a minimum of 5 years in technology policy.
• Proven experience in the UK policy landscape (e.g., UK Government, Westminster, CMA, ICO, etc.), with knowledge of and exposure to EU policy processes and stakeholders.
• Capability to juggle multiple priorities with meticulous attention to detail, manage external policy agencies, and drive projects to successful outcomes, including the structured delivery of policy campaigns, events, and advocacy initiatives.
• Outstanding cross-functional abilities with experience collaborating with international teams and diverse partners.
• Strong skills in policy writing, research, and analysis, adept at conveying critical information to decision-makers.
• Experience in competition and privacy policy, and/or familiarity with civil society or non-profit technology settings is highly preferred.
