This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of public health programs and initiatives.
• Carry out research and analysis on public health policies, programs, processes, and emerging issues.
• Gather, organize, and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data from various sources.
• Aid in recognizing programmatic trends, challenges, risks, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Create reports, presentations, briefing materials, talking points, memoranda, and other program documentation.
• Assist in the development and tracking of program performance metrics, milestones, deliverables, and action items.
• Oversee program activities and pinpoint issues that need follow-up or escalation.
• Collaborate with CDC personnel, federal partners, contractors, and other stakeholders to collect information and support program goals.
• Engage in meetings, working groups, and stakeholder interactions, documenting key decisions and action items.
• Support responses to data requests, information inquiries, leadership questions, and other programmatic needs.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, guidelines, and other program documentation.
• Utilize public health principles and analytical methods to facilitate program decision-making.
• Conduct literature reviews and environmental scans related to public health programs and emerging issues.
• Assist in quality assurance and review of program materials and deliverables.
• Perform additional related duties in support of CDC public health programs.
• A Bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, healthcare administration, epidemiology, health policy, social sciences, or a related area.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in supporting public health programs, healthcare initiatives, federal programs, research, analysis, or related activities.
• Experience in conducting research, analysis, and synthesis of complex information.
• Proven experience in developing professional reports, presentations, briefings, and other written materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in working effectively with government clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting CDC or other HHS agencies.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting federal public health programs or government contracts.
• Preferred: Familiarity with CDC programs, policies, processes, and organizational structures.
• Preferred: Experience in program monitoring, performance measurement, or program evaluation.
• Preferred: Experience in analyzing public health or healthcare data.
• Preferred: Knowledge of federal acquisition, grants, cooperative agreements, or other government assistance mechanisms.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in public health, health administration, epidemiology, health policy, or a related field.
