PT Social Worker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Deliver virtual social and emotional services to K-12 students enrolled in Connections Academy schools

• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions

• Assess students' needs and create tailored intervention plans

• Address and manage crises such as bullying or family issues

• Provide support to families and link them with community resources

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school staff, special education personnel, and other professionals

• Advocate for the needs of students and the provision of appropriate services

• Conduct workshops and training sessions focused on mental health, substance abuse, and conflict resolution

• Maintain precise records of interactions, progress, interventions, and reports

• Design and execute therapy in a virtual setting

• Implement school- and state-specific LiveCounseling policies and procedures

• Review and analyze reports to ensure compliance

• Perform screenings and formal and informal evaluations of students' support needs

• Communicate with parents/learning coaches regarding counseling requirements and IEP objectives

• Consult with teachers and coordinate specially designed instruction as outlined in IEPs

• Assist with IEP documentation, paperwork, and processes

• Maintain data in the Education Management System and special education software, including secondary IEP systems

• Comply with data protection and security regulations and company policies

• Attend supervisor touch-base meetings

• Carry out additional duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work

• Michigan LCSW or LMSW certification

• Michigan DOE School Social Worker License

• Capability to obtain and sustain multiple required state certifications and clearances

• Over 2 years of experience in a K-12 educational environment

• Proficient technology skills

• High level of flexibility and ability to work independently

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities

• Personal electronic device and email address for two-step authentication

• Computer, second monitor, mouse, and keyboard provided by the employee for remote work

• Ability to acquire and maintain all necessary licenses and clearances

• Completion of mandated professional development, training, and CEU courses
