Psychiatrist – Collaborating Provider

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee patient healthcare with empathy, cultural awareness, and a commitment to preserving dignity and rights.

• Prescribe and manage both medications and non-pharmacological therapies tailored to diagnoses, health history, and age.

• Implement standardized care protocols in clinical practice.

• Execute assigned medical procedures.

• Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

• Work collaboratively with integrated teams, including PMHNPs and counselors.

• Supervise a team of up to 5 nurse practitioners.

• Partner with psychiatric nurse practitioners to create and apply patient care plans.

• Review and approve patient charts and treatment plans as mandated by state regulations.

• Offer guidance and support to nurse practitioners in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case discussions.

• Maintain precise and timely records in the EHR system.

• Be available for consultations and handle emergencies as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board-Certified Psychiatrist.

• Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Ohio (MD, DO).

• Ability to function effectively as part of an integrated healthcare team.

• Strong preference for specialization in areas such as children, adolescents, SUD recovery, geriatrics, or disabilities.

• Comfortable working in a 1099 position.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
