Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct client care, which includes assessing, diagnosing, planning, and prescribing both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.

• Conduct psychiatric diagnostic evaluations to establish diagnoses, outline treatment strategies, and identify care coordination needs.

• Provide psychiatric and/or medical services in accordance with medical standards, timelines, and relevant licensing board requirements.

• Utilize medical expertise to diagnose, prevent, and treat various illnesses.

• Ensure the maintenance of timely, thorough, accurate, and clear medical records.

• Execute clinical and billing documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations, clinical necessity, and coding standards.

• Implement pharmacologic treatment strategies; prescribe medications; monitor and evaluate the progress of treatments.

• Order, obtain, and analyze laboratory tests and diagnostics; make clinical decisions based on laboratory interpretations.

• Guarantee timely access to care, exhibit scheduling flexibility, and adhere to productivity standards.

• Take responsibility for psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, prescribing, and/or administering treatments.

• Collaborate with MDs or DOs on challenging or intricate cases.

• Stay compliant with state Psychiatry laws and regulations, including supervised-hour requirements, CME, and timely assessments with a supervising physician.

• Provide support to patients virtually and/or in clinics through telehealth services across Colorado and New Mexico.

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a certification in Psychiatry.

• Must currently live in Colorado or New Mexico and hold a valid license.

• Completion of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Practitioner program is required.

• Current licensed practitioner with full active and unrestricted licensure in the state of practice (CO and NM).

• Active state DEA License is mandatory.

• One year of experience with EMR systems is preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.

• Capacity to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients while collaborating with healthcare teams.

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and documentation requirements in MAT settings.

• Willingness to be cross-trained in Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT).

• Mental health providers are not permitted to prescribe controlled substances.
