This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
β’ The Psychiatric Practitioner delivers direct client care by assessing, diagnosing, planning, and prescribing both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for health issues, as well as promoting health and preventive care within this specialized field.
β’ Conducts psychiatric diagnostic evaluations to establish diagnoses, develop treatment strategies, and determine care coordination requirements for clients facing mental health, substance use, or other psychiatric and medical challenges.
β’ Provides all psychiatric and/or medical services in accordance with established medical standards, timelines, and in compliance with all regulations set forth by the relevant health licensing boards.
β’ Utilizes medical expertise and skills to diagnose, prevent, and treat illnesses effectively.
β’ Keeps timely, complete, accurate, and legible medical records for all patients assessed and treated by the Practitioner within the organization's medical record system.
β’ Executes timely, concurrent, and precise clinical/billing documentation that meets professional standards and adheres to State and Federal regulations, clinical necessity, and proper coding standards.
β’ Implements pharmacologic treatment strategies, prescribes medications, and monitors and evaluates the progress of psychiatric and/or other medications.
β’ Orders, obtains, and assesses relevant laboratory tests and diagnostics, making clinical decisions based on laboratory interpretations.
β’ Ensures timely access to care, showing flexibility in scheduling to fully accommodate client needs, while also meeting applicable productivity standards.
β’ The Provider will take on client care responsibilities, including psychiatric evaluations, professional diagnoses, and prescribing and/or administering treatments.
β’ Collaborates with MD or DO on challenging or complex cases.
β’ Complies with state laws and regulations governing Psychiatry, which includes fulfilling supervised hour requirements, completing continuing medical education (CME), and conducting appropriate assessments in a timely manner with the supervising physician.
β’ Provides medication and health education, which encompasses, but is not limited to, informed consent, benefits, risks, side effects, and alternative treatments for prescribed medications, as well as health/wellness management and metabolic risk reduction strategies.
β’ Demonstrates competency and comfort in conducting Telemedicine technology appointments for both intake and follow-up encounters.
β’ Completion of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Practitioner program is required.
β’ Holds a current Licensed Practitioner status with full, active, and unrestricted licensure in the state of practice (CO and NM) along with an active state DEA License.
β’ One year of experience with EMR systems is preferred.
