Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP – Telehealth Addiction & Mental Health Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Perform initial and follow-up evaluations via telehealth.

• Provide care for individuals with substance use and mental health issues.

• Prescribe medications as necessary and respond to member inquiries.

• Complete documentation using the Healthie Electronic Health Record (EHR).

• Work in collaboration with counselors, therapists, peer support specialists, and case managers.

• Attend scheduled team meetings as needed.

• Offer evidence-based treatment for those with substance use and mental health disorders.

• Make clinical decisions together with members while exercising provider discretion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a valid, unrestricted license in Illinois.

• Hold an active and verifiable PMHNP license in the state(s) where you practice, as well as in your state of residence, if it is not Illinois.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred, ideally in addiction or mental health treatment; relevant prior experience may be considered for candidates with less than 2 years as a PMHNP.

• Experience in prescribing Suboxone is required.

• Must have an active DEA registration.

• Willingness to acquire multi-state licensure is essential.

• Medicaid enrollment is a plus.

• Demonstrated empathy for members dealing with behavioral health challenges.

• Comfortable utilizing technology, including EHRs and mobile applications.

• A quiet, private office with a reliable internet connection is necessary for HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions.
