Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Conduct psychiatric assessments, manage medications, and provide ongoing care for Medicaid patients.

• Determine your personal hours and availability while selecting which referrals to accept.

• Develop and oversee a manageable caseload.

• Provide confidential virtual clinical sessions.

• Work in collaboration with therapists and other healthcare providers as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

• Make autonomous clinical decisions.

• Engage in optional peer consultation.

• Promote increased access to behavioral healthcare for Medicaid members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an active, unrestricted PMHNP license in good standing within Colorado.

• Hold national board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

• Have prescriptive authority.

• Maintain an active DEA registration.

• Acquire Colorado controlled substance registration.

• Demonstrate experience in conducting psychiatric evaluations and prescribing psychotropic medications.

• Carry personal malpractice coverage of $1M per occurrence / $3M aggregate.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and other digital tools is essential.

• Maintain a quiet, HIPAA-compliant home office.

• Provide your own computer and reliable internet for confidential virtual sessions.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.

• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

• Exhibit strong clinical judgment in managing psychiatric conditions across diverse populations.

• Adopt a patient-centered approach to medication management and treatment planning.

• Demonstrate experience in collaborating with therapists and other providers within a multidisciplinary care team.
