Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality individual psychiatric care through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide direct patient support and perform thorough patient evaluations.

• Create tailored treatment plans for each patient.

• Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate.

• Ensure that care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.

• Collaborate within clinical teams consisting of therapists and a psychiatric prescriber.

• Connect with qualified psychotherapists seeking a prescriber during their onboarding process.

• Engage in monthly staffing meetings with collaborating therapists to review patient cases, coordinate treatment, and discuss clinical topics.

• Offer clinical services remotely from the comfort of home.

• Join virtual clinical team meetings.

• Attend BlueSky clinical conferences four times a week; attendance is mandatory at least once weekly during the first 90 days and monthly thereafter.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in at least one of the following states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, or WA.

• Willingness to acquire additional state licenses as necessary.

• Must not own or manage a private practice.

• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals.

• Solid clinical knowledge in psychiatry and behavioral health.

• Strong expertise in assessing and diagnosing psychiatric disorders.

• Experience in psychopharmacological treatment.

• Familiarity with non-pharmacological and evidence-based behavioral health interventions.

• Proficient computer skills and comfort with using EHRs, telehealth platforms, and basic technology.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Capability to provide patient-centered, evidence-based, collaborative psychiatric care in a telehealth setting.

• Previous PMHNP experience is preferred but not mandatory.
