Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Deliver individualized psychiatric care effectively through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide direct patient care services.

• Perform thorough assessments of patients.

• Create comprehensive treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications when deemed necessary.

• Ensure that patient care is in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Assemble teams comprising multiple therapists and a prescriber through onboarding and matching processes.

• Hold regular staffing meetings with collaborating therapists, at least once a month, to review patient cases or discuss clinical topics.

• Participate in virtual clinical team meetings and clinical conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a PMHNP license is mandatory.

• Willingness to obtain licenses in alternative states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, WA.

• Minimum of 6 months of prior experience as a PMHNP is required.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.

• Proficient computer and basic technology skills are essential.

• Strong clinical background in psychiatry is necessary.

• In-depth knowledge of diagnosing psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments.

• Familiarity with non-pharmacological interventions is preferred.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills are required.

• Must attend at least one clinical conference weekly for the first 90 days; thereafter, attendance is required once monthly.
