Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Deliver individual psychiatric care effectively through telehealth within an outpatient environment.

• Provide direct care to patients.

• Perform assessments of patients.

• Create comprehensive treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications when necessary.

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with therapists and prescribers as part of multidisciplinary teams.

• Meet consistently with collaborating therapists to review patient cases or clinical matters.

• Participate in mandatory virtual clinical conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a PMHNP license is required.

• Willingness to obtain licensure in alternative states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, WA.

• A minimum of 6 months of previous experience as a PMHNP is necessary.

• Capability to work collaboratively with a diverse array of healthcare professionals.

• Proficient computer and foundational technology skills.

• Strong clinical expertise in psychiatry.

• Solid background in diagnosing psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments.

• Understanding of non-pharmacological interventions.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.

• Attendance at least one clinical conference each week during the first 90 days of employment is required; thereafter, one conference per month is necessary.
