Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Deliver individual psychiatric care effectively through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide direct care to patients.

• Perform assessments on patients.

• Create comprehensive treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications as required.

• Ensure that care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with therapists and prescribers in a team-oriented approach to care.

• Engage in regular staffing meetings with collaborating therapists, at least once a month, to review patient cases or clinical topics.

• Participate in mandatory clinical conferences.

• Provide clinical services remotely based on schedules chosen by clinicians.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active PMHNP license in at least one of the following states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, or WA.

• Willingness to secure additional state licenses as necessary.

• Previous experience as a PMHNP is preferred but not mandatory.

• Must not own or operate a private practice.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals.

• Proficient computer skills and comfort with EHRs, telehealth platforms, and basic technology.

• Strong clinical expertise in psychiatry and behavioral health.

• In-depth knowledge of diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological therapies.

• Familiarity with non-pharmacological and evidence-based behavioral health approaches.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.

• Capacity to offer patient-centered, evidence-based, collaborative psychiatric care in a telehealth setting.

• Attend at least one clinical conference weekly during the initial 90 days; afterwards, attend one monthly.
