Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality individual psychiatric care through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide direct care to patients.

• Perform thorough patient assessments.

• Create comprehensive treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications when necessary.

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Operate independently with the patient's best interests in mind.

• Work in collaboration with therapists and prescribers within multidisciplinary teams.

• Meet with collaborating therapists monthly to discuss patient cases or relevant clinical topics.

• Attend clinical conferences weekly during the initial 90 days, transitioning to monthly thereafter.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold an active PMHNP license in at least one of the following states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, or WA.

• Willingness to acquire additional state licenses as necessary.

• Previous experience as a PMHNP is preferred but not mandatory.

• Must not operate or own a private practice.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals.

• Proficient computer skills and comfort with EHRs, telehealth platforms, and other essential technologies.

• Strong clinical background in psychiatry and behavioral health.

• In-depth knowledge of diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders along with psychopharmacological interventions.

• Familiarity with non-pharmacological and evidence-based behavioral health interventions.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Capability to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based, and collaborative psychiatric care in a telehealth setting.
