Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality individual psychiatric care through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide direct patient support.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments.

• Create and implement treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications as needed.

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Work in partnership with therapists and prescribers in multidisciplinary teams.

• Engage in regular staffing meetings with collaborating therapists at least once a month to review patient cases or clinical topics.

• Attend clinical conferences at least weekly for the first 90 days, and then monthly thereafter.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid PMHNP license is required.

• Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, WA.

• Minimum of 6 months of prior experience working as a PMHNP.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.

• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with basic technology.

• Strong clinical foundation in psychiatry.

• In-depth knowledge of diagnosing psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments.

• Understanding of non-pharmacological intervention methods.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
