Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Deliver individual psychiatric care effectively through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide direct care to patients.

• Perform assessments on patients.

• Create comprehensive treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications when necessary.

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with therapists and prescribers in a team-oriented approach to care.

• Engage in regular staffing meetings with collaborating therapists to discuss patient cases or clinical topics.

• Attend a minimum of one clinical conference weekly during the initial 90 days; thereafter attend one monthly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a PMHNP license is required.

• Willingness to obtain licensing in alternative states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, WA.

• Minimum of 6 months of previous experience as a PMHNP.

• Capability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals.

• Proficient computer and basic technology skills.

• Strong clinical expertise in psychiatry.

• Extensive knowledge in diagnosing psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments.

• Familiarity with non-pharmacological treatment options.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
