Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive individual psychiatric care through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide direct care to patients.

• Perform patient evaluations.

• Create treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

• Prescribe medications as required.

• Ensure that patient care adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Work in collaboration with therapists and prescribers as part of multidisciplinary teams.

• Hold regular meetings with collaborating therapists at least once a month to review patient cases or clinical matters.

• Participate in at least one clinical conference each week during the initial 90 days of employment.

• Continue attending one clinical conference monthly following the first 90 days.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a PMHNP license is mandatory.

• Willingness to obtain licensure in alternative states, including AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, WA.

• Minimum of 6 months of previous experience as a PMHNP.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

• Proficient computer skills and basic technological knowledge.

• Strong clinical foundation in psychiatry.

• Robust experience in diagnosing psychiatric disorders and administering psychopharmacological treatments.

• Understanding of non-pharmacological treatment methods.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
