Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive individual psychiatric care through telehealth in an outpatient environment.

• Provide direct patient services and perform thorough patient evaluations.

• Create personalized treatment plans.

• Prescribe medications when clinically suitable.

• Administer care in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.

• Collaborate within clinical teams that include therapists and a psychiatric prescriber.

• Connect with qualified psychotherapists in need of a prescriber, with team matching coordinated by BlueSky.

• Engage in monthly staffing meetings with collaborating therapists to discuss patient cases, treatment coordination, and clinical matters.

• Provide clinical services from a remote location.

• Participate in virtual clinical team discussions.

• Attend BlueSky clinical conferences four times weekly; required to attend at least once per week during the first 90 days and monthly thereafter.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an active, unrestricted PMHNP license in at least one of the following states: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, or WA.

• Willing to obtain additional licenses in other states as necessary.

• Minimum of six months of relevant experience as a PMHNP.

• Must not own or operate a private practice.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.

• Strong clinical expertise in psychiatry and behavioral health.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in assessing and diagnosing psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments.

• Familiarity with non-pharmacological and evidence-based behavioral health interventions.

• Proficient computer skills and comfort utilizing EHRs, telehealth platforms, and basic technology.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Capability to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based, collaborative psychiatric care in a telehealth setting.
